The Most Miserable Time Of The Year

Winter is approaching. I loved winter when I was younger. In my twenties, I'd wear shorts all winter long. It was comfortable. 
I'd go out and about in the cold without a care in the world. 
The last few winters have been long, bone chilling cold and wet. So far it's been a mild fall. It rained yesterday. I was gonna play golf today, but another storm is passing through. 
Last night I felt the first touch of bone chilling cold weather. That tells me winter is coming. The winter solstice is next Saturday the 21st. Winters long walk will begin.

Summer Is Here

Howdy y'all! Phoenix Chestnut here! Just checking in. The warm weather is here in Sacramento, which means it's time for cutoff shorts. I used to look down on cutoffs when I was younger. I thought it looked sloppy. I thought only poor people did it. As I've gotten older, I've taken a liking to them. They're very comfortable and almost anything goes with them...t shirts, polo shirts, Hawaiian shirts, tank tops, and jerseys (baseball, football and basketball). And you can wear them anywhere...the gym, the beach, ballgames, brunch, the pool, playing pickleball, concerts, anywhere! I have about six pairs now. I love them.  I saw this picture of some Canadian boys wearing cutoffs at a car show. I always think that summer is here when that picture goes viral in June.  Until next time!
