Open Farm Land

I was at the local golf course hitting a bucket of balls and practice my putting. It was a warm day with a gentle breeze. It was very relaxing. I was only using a nice pitching wedge I bought at a thrift store and a lob wedge. Kid in the stall next to me was trying to hit his balls over the netting that separates the course from the driving range. Kinda irritated me at first, but then I remember I probably did the same thing as a young golfer.
It was getting close to dinner time. I walked to my car and noticed some open farm land next to the course. Back in the mid to late 1990's, plans for a championship course was to be built on the land. The championship course eventually got built in another part of town. I'm glad the farm land was left alone, untouched. It's a reminder I live in a agricultural area. I used to hate living around here. I wanted to live in the big city, like Los Angeles. Now I avoid LA, San Francisco and downtown Sacramento.
Don't make northern California another southern California!
