I met some friends for lunch at Texas Roadhouse in Fairfield. I took the long way to get there. 1-5 North to Woodland, Hwy 16, then 505 south, then 80 West. I did that to avoid the weekend traffic on 80 where it's stop and go in some parts. I listened to the Pat McAfee podcast on the way. Nice drive to Fairfield. I get there early and get us a table. I was thirsty from the drive and asked for a tall, ice cold Coors Light. I used to get a big mug of it all the time when I lived in Fairfield. "We only have it in bottle now", said the waiter. I asked what was on tap. It was beer I don't drink. I settled for a sweet iced tea. My friends came and we had a nice meal. I made a rookie mistake and ordered loaded potato skins.
